Critiques
The writing goes straight to the heart of the matter; this is what prejudice is. The only line that deviates from this pattern is the second one, "Prejudice is not to understand"; by stating in this line what prejudice "is not", I almost feel as though this line would have more impact opening the poem before launching into all the descriptions on what prejudice is. This may be a more aesthetic choice as well, as the poem is both visually and verbally smooth as it transitions from the lines that read "prejudice is a" to "prejudice is the".
Easy five stars for vision and impact; that should be a no-brainer to anyone who reads "Prejudice is". Overall a beautifully haunting poem that will stay with the reader.
